“Kullu Banee Adama Khattaa’un, wa Khayrul Khattaa’een At-Tawwaaboon”
“Every son of Adam is a sinner (Commits sin), and the best of sinners are those who repent (Constantly)” [Tirmithi, Ibn Maajah]
Allah ta’ala says in the Glorious Qur’an;
“Say: ‘O my servants who have transgressed against your own selves! Despair not of Allāh’s mercy: behold, Allāh forgives all sins” [Az- Zumar, 39:53]
This is such a reassuring message for those of us who have sinned. By sinning we transgress against our own selves. But the All Merciful Allāh will still turn to us with mercy if we turn to Him in repentance. He is Most-Forgiving; there is no sin He will not forgive if we sincerely seek His forgiveness and take corrective action.
The pencil which has been given to us to draw the course of our life’s journey does come with a huge eraser. It lasts as long as the pencil itself.
